Vanilla Dream Smoothie

Are you a smoothie lover?

Smoothies have been a game changer for myself and my clients. They are easy to make, filling, delicious, and incredibly healthy. Not to mention, they are an incredible tool for weight maintenance.

The beautiful part about my go-to smoothies is that they make perfect vehicles for a low-calorie, yet nutrient-dense meals. This is due to the balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, as well as vitamins and minerals.

Today I want to share with you one of my all time favorites, which I call my Vanilla Dream Smoothie. This deliciously refreshing drink will boost your metabolic rate, give you energy, and fill you up for hours.

Vanilla Dream Smoothie
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 3 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1 c. vanilla unsweetened coconut or almond mylk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of nut butter 
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • 3/4 c. frozen cauliflower (I use the brand 365)
  • Lots of cinnamon
  • 1 scoop of collagen powder (optional)
  • Dash of vanilla extract

For this smoothie recipe place all of the ingredients into your high-speed blender and blend for around 30-60 seconds or until nice and smooth. As always, feel free to add and subtract ingredients based on what you prefer and have on hand.

Some of these ingredients may be a bit new to you or sound strange to add to your smoothie. Don’t be fearful! These are superfoods that will kickstart your healthy life. I’ve even put together a little cheat sheet below to detail the health benefits.

Benefits of Superfood Ingredients

Cauliflower sounds weird in a smoothie, but it has no taste! It makes your smoothie thick and creamy + you get a dose of vitamin C and K.

Flax seeds, is high in fiber, but low in carbs and will help you to feel fuller for longer.

Collagen powder is the most abundant protein in our bodies. Our body’s collagen production naturally begins to slow down as we age so adding a collagen supplement can help our hair, skin, and nails as well as reduce joint pain and degeneration.
